I am Don Hicks, one of the Lay Ministers (Readers) at St George’s Gravesend.

My wife June and I have been members of St George’s for some three years, where we have found great joy in sharing the life of the church.

I have been a Christian since my conversion in the late 1950s and a Lay Minister since 1991.

June and I celebrated our Diamond Wedding Anniversary this year, we have four happily married children and five grandchildren, all of whom we love dearly.

I am an electronic/telecoms engineer with an Open University degree. I worked in development/research for many years, then in further education and finally with the Open University.
