Thy Kingdom Come – 30th May – 9th June 2019 – A Wave of Prayer
Join us and millions of people around the globe in a wave of prayer. Thy Kingdom Come is a simple invitation to pray between Ascension and Pentecost for friends and family to come to faith.
Prayer moves us closer not only to God, but to one another. It connects us with those whom we otherwise cannot see. Prayer breaks down division, in prayer we take each other’s hands and find our safe stronghold.
Archbishop Justin Welby
We encourage you to use this period for a special focus on your prayers, but also joining together for times of prayer and worship. We gather on Thursday 30th for our Ascension Day service at 7.30pm. On Wednesday 5th June the Church will be open for 12 hours of prayer including a Holy Communion service at 10am. Then on the 9th June we will conclude with Pentecost celebrations – services at 10am and 6pm. You can also have a look at thykingdomcome.global and churchofengland.org for prayer resources and times of daily prayer. May this be a holy and prayerful time for you.
