Groups

Noah’s Ark

Noah’s Ark is a parent and toddler group run for the community every term time Monday in St George’s Church Hall. Our sessions run from 9.45am to 11.45am

There is a huge choice of toys/equipment for the children to play with. We have two sets of toys that we rotate to keep the children interested. At each session there is also a craft available for the first part and a singing time in the second part. The children get a drink and a biscuit and there is tea and coffee for the adults.

Noah’s Ark is a great place for children to have fun, parents to meet and friendships to be developed.

If you are interested in coming along to Noah’s Ark, simply turn up on the day. Prices start from £2 for one adult and a child over 1 year old.

Cool Tots LogoCOOL Tots

COOL Tots is a parent and toddler Church service held in the church every term time Thursday from 10.00am to 11.30am. We sing Bible songs, have a Bible story, a craft related to the story and then a time of prayer. To finish the morning we sing a special COOL Tots song and then we all enjoy juice and biscuits (or tea and coffee for the adults).

COOL Tots is a lovely way to introduce children to Bible stories. If you are interested in coming along to COOL Tots, simply turn up on the morning.

Who Let The Dads Out? LogoWho Let The Dads Out

Who Let The Dads Out is a group for dads and father figures and their children (up to 11 years old). Who Let The Dads Out is open every 2nd Saturday of the month from 9.45 to 11.45am in St George’s Church Hall.

It is a fun packed morning that gives dads the opportunity to spend more time with their children and meet other dads. It also gives mums a well deserved break.

The church hall is set up with toys and activities for the children and there will be juice and biscuits available for them. There is coffee (and tea) and bacon (or veggie) sandwiches for the adults.

If you are interested in coming along to Who Let The Dads Out, simply turn up on the morning between 9.45 and 11.45am. The entrance fee is £2 per family.

Youth GroupYouth Group

The CITY Youth Group is a youth club opened to any person aged 9 to 16 years in the community held every 1st and third Saturday of every month in St George’s Church Hall. Sessions run from 19:00 to 21:00 and there is no entry fee.

There is a huge range of games and activities, including Darts, Pool, Table Tennis, Table Football, and Air Hockey. There is a good choice of Board games and artistic material for our members to use as well. At each session there is a tuck shop selling sweets and drinks at cost – we advise parents to give their children some pocket money if they can. This is supplemented from time to time with additional food, such as Pizza night or Cinema nights with appropriate treats. We also have special events (such as Bango Bingo, and discos), guest appearances (which we hope give children a different perspective), a bouncy castle, and outdoor activities (weather permitting).

We encourage members to give feedback with a 15-minute time of reflection at the end of the day, when we listen to requests and feedback so we can continue to provide a stimulating and safe environment for the children to learn, grow and have fun.

CITY is a great place for children to have fun, a place to be independent and for friendships to be developed.

If you are interested in coming along to CITY, simply turn up on the day. We will need to gather certain parental details and permissions but the kids can join in straight away.

Sunday Worship logoSundays

Family Service

On the 1st Sunday of the month we have Family Service, where we stay in the church to worship together as a family.

Family Church

On the 2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays of the month, we run a service in the church hall aimed at families with younger children (from nursery school age up to year 4). We learn about the stories from the Bible and what it means to be a follower of Jesus. We learn through Bible reading, prayer, games, worship songs, crafts and lots of other fun things.

Family Communion

On the 3rd Sunday of the month, we stay in the church to worship together as a family for our Family Communion.
