Giovanni Parrales

I am Giovanni, a 2-year context-based ordinand currently in my first year of training with the Church of England. Since becoming a Christian at the age of 21, I have been deeply committed to serving God’s mission in the world. Over the past five years, I’ve had the privilege of working within the Diocese of Rochester, where I’ve served in various ministry roles that reflect my passion for evangelism, discipleship, and community engagement.

In 2022, I was licensed as a Lay Minister, and for the past four years, I’ve worked as an Estates Pioneer — a role that continues to affirm my calling as a minister of God. My background includes full-time ministry in youth and children’s work, always seeking opportunities to connect with and serve the local community. I am passionate about partnering with God in His mission, especially in places where the Church is called to be a transformative presence.

Currently, I am undergoing training to become a Pioneer Priest. As part of this journey, I will be spending three days a week over the next two years at St George’s Church, contributing to its mission and ministry while continuing my theological formation.

I live in Gravesend with my wife, and together we share a deep love for ministry, especially within the local church and schools. We are blessed with two daughters and a granddaughter, and we enjoy running twice a week and exploring different places around the UK during the time of rest.

As a pastor, evangelist, and missionary, I believe God is calling me to be a witness in the Church — to bring His mission to the places He sends me. It is a privilege to serve, and my prayer is that the skills and experience I’ve gained will be used to lead and nurture the Church in alignment with the will of our Lord Jesus Christ.
