Holiday Club 2018

In the mornings of the week commencing the 6th of August, we had our summer holiday club, ‘Teambuilders’.

Each day we thought about how we ‘Are the body of Christ and each one of us is a part of it’ (Memory Verse for the week, 1 Corinthians 12:27). Each day was filled with songs, a Bible story, crafts and games.

Across the week we had 35 children and an average of 20 children a day. The families who attended showed a great reflection of where we are at work in our community. A great time was had by all and some of the children didn’t want the week to end. There was real sense of God’s love and peace throughout the whole week.

There were so many beautiful moments where God’s presence could be felt and hopefully these memories will stay with the children and the team for a long time. It was a wonderful week of not only telling the children (and their parents) about God’s love but actually showing it and being a reflection of it.

Thank you to everyone who helped on the week, you all were amazing! Also, thank you to those who prayed for us leading up to and during the week. Please continue to pray for all the children and their families that they will remember what they heard about God’s love for them and that the seeds sown will be watered and will grow.
